Hiring an instrument is the easiest and safest way to begin playing the harp.

It enables you to discover the pleasures of playing with the minimum financial outlay.  For many parents, rental Hiring a harp is the easiest and safest way to begin playing this beautiful instrument. It allows you to discover the joys of playing without a significant financial investment. Many parents prefer to rent a harp to reduce the risk of purchasing an instrument when they are unsure if their children will take to it.

At Harp Shop London, we offer Celtic Harps for rent. We have a fleet of over 30 harps available for hire. The minimum rental period for a brand new Celtic harp is 12 months. Second-hand or ex-rental harps may be available with shorter minimum rental periods.

Renting a harp is a very inexpensive way of trying one out, and it’s available only in mainland UK. 

Here are the terms of hire:

– The minimum rental period is three months.

– The deposit and the first month’s rental payment are due on the date of the agreement.

– Subsequent rental payments are due monthly after the first payment, via Standing Order.

– The deposit is refundable at the end of the hire period, provided the harp is returned in the same condition as it was received.

– A portion of the rental payments can be offered as a credit if you decide to purchase any of our folk harps (of the same value or greater than the harp being hired). These credits are available as follows:

  – Three months hire/full rental premiums credit.

  – Six months/two-thirds credit.

  – Twelve months/one-third credit.

– The hirer is responsible for replacing worn or broken strings with new strings at their own expense. These strings are available from Harp Shop London.

– The hirer is responsible for insuring the instrument against loss or damage.

– If delivery of the harp is required, there will be an additional charge, payable in advance.
