CONTINUOUS PICKUP TECNOLOGY

​By using the Accusound “continuous pickup technology” the whole sound of the instrument is collected as opposed to the individual sounds of the strings. This, we believe, adds a lot of warmth and maintains the acoustic characteristic of the harp, allowing the strings to interact with each other and with the structure of the instrument

The “continuous pickup technology” also ensures an even pickup of sound throughout the instrument without the need to electronically interfere with the signal to balance the musical sound.

Being built in to the fundamental heart of the instrument, the total sound of the harp is captured, from the feel of the strings to the resonances of the wood.
The electronics of the system is located as close as possible to the active transducer material to ensure accurate and
reliable transmission to the amplifier.
The low impedance output of the Accusound preamplifier forms a perfect connection to the vast majority of amplifiers using an industry standard ¼” jack lead.

Built around a full-size, 47-string body with a straight soundboard, the Aldeburgh Wave preserves the natural projection, clarity and balance that define Pilgrim’s acoustic harps, while offering seamless amplification whenever it is needed.
Its integrated pick-up system has been carefully voiced to respect the true colour of the instrument, maintaining tonal integrity, dynamic response and evenness across the entire range—from the deepest bass to the highest treble.

Exceptionally easy to use, the system allows the player to move effortlessly from subtle sound reinforcement in intimate settings to full stage amplification for concerts, ensembles and amplified performances—without compromising the acoustic identity of the harp.
